Fellowships

One year Advanced Clinical Experiences (ACE) in the areas of foot/ankle, hand/upper extremity, musculoskeletal oncology, pediatrics, shoulder/elbow, spine sports medicine and traumatology surgery are offered through the affiliated University hospitals, which include the University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake (UWMC), University of Washington Medical Center-Northwest (UWNW), Harborview Medical Center (HMC), Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH), the Seattle Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC), Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) and other affiliated hospitals.

Comprehensive sub-specialty training in adult and adolescent orthopaedic sports medicine. The training program focuses on clinic, training room and surgical management of sports injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and foot/ankle.

These programs are in-depth clinical experiences including basic and clinical research and teaching of medical students and residents.

    • Apply through the San Francisco Match. Complete the online registration (opening approximately July 1), utilizing the Central Application Service (mandatory for applicants and programs), and provide the required documents as posted. Deadline for accepting applications is December 1st of each year.

    • January and February of each year; April of each year

Applicants must successfully complete an ACGME accredited orthopedic residency and be a United States citizen or a permanent resident.
