Bruce J. Sangeorzan, MD

Dr. Bruce Sangeorzan is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.  Following his orthopaedic training at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, he completed a Trauma Fellowship followed by a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at University of Washington. 

He started as an Acting Assistant Professor at University of Washington.  He is currently a Professor at University of Washington and Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Harborview Medical Center.  He was awarded a Suzuki Japanese/American Traveling Fellowship in Kashiwagi, Japan in 1994 and an Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation Clinical Research Award in 2001.  He is a course faculty member for the AAOS Instructional Course, Comprehensive Foot Course, and Summer Institute Course.

Dr. Sangeorzan is on the Membership Committee for the AAOS, Secretarial Appointee for the VA Scientific Merit Review Board for Rehabilitation Research and Development Service, Chair for the VA Prosthetic Clinical Management Progam.  He is also on the Trauma Council, Surgical Council and Medical Executive Board at Harborview Medical Center.  He is Principal Investigator in several research grants.
