Severe extremity injuries including digit and limb loss have only limited surgical solutions. Regenerative medicine holds out hope for future developments that may one day allow us to replace or even regrow lost parts. In this program, University of Washington School of Medicine associate professor Christopher H. Allan reviews past and present research efforts in this area and discusses some possible next steps.
