Featuring Frederick A. Matsen III, M.D.

Dr. Rick Matsen
of UW Medical Center's Bone and Joint Surgery Center is the pioneer of
a procedure called a “ream and run,” an alternative to a traditional
shoulder replacement surgery. The ream and run helps active
individuals, like 65-year-old racquetball player Jim Rockstad, remain
competitive by allowing the body to rebuild its own cartilage,
recreating a smooth joint surface. To view the full Inside Access program, go to Innovations in Shoulder Surgery.
