An interview with Seth S. Leopold, M.D.

Dr. Leopold specializes in knee and hip replacement surgery. He has a particular interest in the use of minimally-invasive joint replacement techniques to decrease post-operative pain, shorten the hospital stay, and help his patients recover more quickly following the surgery. He performs and teaches quadriceps-sparing total knee replacement, a new technique that may help patients return to function within weeks of knee replacement surgery, rather than months.

The University of Washington Medical Center was again ranked highly for
orthopaedic surgery by US News and World Report, this year being listed as 15th
in the nation.
Dr. Beingessner, Assistant Professor, received 2008 spring quarter's HMC CARES Service Excellence Award.
Dr Henley has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS)
Dr. Leopold lectured recently in San Francisco at the annual meeting of the
Hippocrates Winslow Babbage Foundation.
Dr. Maheshwari, orthopaedic resident, has been nominated by the Program Director and Chair of Orthopaedics to attend the 2008 AOA-OREF-Zimmer Resident Leadership Forum.
