Chapman is Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He is also employed as a spine service faculty member at Puget Sound Veterans Administration Medical Center in Seattle. He has written two books, The Spine Manual and Spinal Cord Injuries, and has been on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's advisory panel for spinal devices since 1997. Chapman received his bachelor of science degree from the Universitaet Regensburg in Regensburg, Germany, and earned his medical degree from Technische Universitaet Muenchen in Munich, Germany. An interview with Daphne M. Beingessner, M.D.
Dr. Beingessner was born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She completed Medical School and her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. Following residency training, she completed a Hand and Upper Limb Fellowship at the Hand and Upper Limb Center in London, Ontario. She traveled to Seattle, Washington to join the Trauma Advanced Clinical Experience program at Harborview Medical Center.
