About the procedure

Anesthetic

Elbow fracture-dislocation surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia. The patient may wish to discuss his or her preferences with the anesthesiologist before surgery.

Length of

The length of surgery varies depending on the case. It usually takes two to five hours. In addition, several hours will be needed for preoperative preparation (two hours) and postoperative recovery (two to four hours).
