Chapman is Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He is also employed as a spine service faculty member at Puget Sound Veterans Administration Medical Center in Seattle. He has written two books, The Spine Manual and Spinal Cord Injuries, and has been on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's advisory panel for spinal devices since 1997. Chapman received his bachelor of science degree from the Universitaet Regensburg in Regensburg, Germany, and earned his medical degree from Technische Universitaet Muenchen in Munich, Germany. An interview with Susan Ott, MD

Dr. Susan Ott received her BA degree from Stanford University and her MD from the University of Washington. She did a combined residency in Family Practice and Internal Medicine at the University of California at Davis and further training as a nephrology fellow at the University of Washington, after which she joined the faculty.
