Dr. Firoozabadi

Renowned Harvard Ebola researcher, Dr. Pardis Sabeti, was involved in a near-fatal ATV accident in Montana in July. She was flown to Harborview, the nearest Level 1 trauma center, where she was treated by Dr. Reza Firoozabadi for a shattered pelvis and left knee and a broken right knee.

Excerpt from the story-
"In a way, she was lucky, said her surgeon, Dr. Reza Firoozabadi.

“With that significant of an injury, she’s quite fortunate to not have sustained abdominal, thoracic and brain injuries,”
he said.

She now has five stainless steel plates helping to hold her body together, Firoozabadi said."
