After 5 years providing outstanding care to thousands of patients, through long days and nights with little sleep, our 2018 Resident class has graduated. Drs. Bringe, Gibly, Ibrahim, Kennedy, MacTaggart, Michnick, Sangeorzan and Swenson are off to start the next steps in their careers. Without a doubt, all will look back fondly to their time at the University of Washington.
Our faculty look forward to seeing them again, no longer as master and apprentice, but now as colleagues.
Thank you to our newly graduated 2018 residency class for your hard work over the years, both while being educated by the faculty and for educating the residents below you. You all will always be appreciated. Each of you will be missed but never forgotten.
Every year our residents vote a faculty member for a teaching award. This year the graduating residents selected Dr. Christopher Kweon for his outstanding resident education. Thank you to Dr. Kweon for being an outstanding educator among a faculty of outstanding educators.
Thank you also to Dr. Michael Gardner, a Harborview Medical Center Trauma Fellow alumnus and now professor at Stanford, for being our visiting lecturer at this year’s graduation events.
